In an intimate setting we get to know more about each artist or company´s methods, necessities and urges of creating performances within the various traditions of mime by getting a glimpse into their creative universes.

Continuo Theatre (CZ)
Continuo Theatre is an international independent theatre company founded in 1992 by Helena and Pavel Štourač. It is based in Malovice, South Bohemia, in the cultural space Plum Yard. In its work it combines physical acting with puppet theatre techniques, live music and distinctive visual stylisation. In addition, the group has been working on site-specific projects in non-theatre spaces since 1997. In its more than 30 years of existence, the company has created dozens of productions and projects and won numerous awards.

Zero en Contucta (ES)
Zero en Conducta
was created in 2011, by José A. Puchades (Putxa), with the intention of exploring the expressive potential of different performing arts related to movement. Their research focuses on the fusion of corporeal mime, dance, puppetry, and physical and visual theatre in general. Through the years, their artistic family has continued to grow (incorporating artists such as Julieta Gascón and David Maqueda) while producing numerous award winning shows and touring all over the world.

Kauri Honkakoski Company (FI)
Kauri Honkakoski Company is an award-winning physical theatre ensemble from Finland, renowned for its exquisitely intense, mime-based productions. Following the international success of ensemble productions Hinterland and The Desk, the company here returns to the immediate intimacy of a solo work.
Driving the company’s artistic vision is Kauri Honkakoski (they/them), who trained in Corporeal Mime in London. Drawing from this profound, embodied language, Honkakoski strives to give a physical form to the deep, invisible parts of our humanity.

Claire Heggen- Théâtre du Mouvement (FR)
Claire Heggen serves as the artistic director of Claire Heggen – Théâtre du Mouvement, a company dedicated to research and creation. As a writer, actress, director, and educator, she cultivates interdisciplinary skills through diverse aesthetics. The company’s works have been showcased in over 60 countries, presenting a continually evolving aesthetic that explores the theatricality of movement, situated at the intersection of mime, physical theatre, and puppetry. She co-founded and co-directed Théâtre du Mouvement with Yves Marc from 1975 to 2017 and played a pivotal role in establishing GLAM (Geneva Theatre Arts and Movements). Heggen teaches at various international institutions in France and abroad and has mentored emerging artists in their creative endeavors for many years, irrespective of their aesthetic orientation.

Ika Nord (SE)
Ika Nord is a mime artist, actress, director and clown. She was the special student of Étienne Decroux, a professional street performer in Europe and had her own clown show for kids on TV. She writes, directs and choreographs for theatre, opera and cabaret and also works as an actress in theatre and on film.
